Pertemps is proud to be working in partnership with Royal Mail, one of the UK's most recognisable and trusted delivery networks, and we're recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for flexible, part-time agency work in Plymouth.
This is agency work, offering temporary ongoing assignments with regular, year-round shifts - ideal if you want choice, flexibility, and strong hourly rates without committing to a permanent contract.
The Role
1. Simple trunking work only - no multi-drop
2. Moving mail and parcels between Royal Mail depots nationwide
3. Minimal manual handling
4. Operating Class 1 vehicles safely and professionally
5. Clean, modern, well-maintained vehicles
6. Following drivers' hours and WTD regulations
7. Completing digital tachograph entries accurately
8. Shifts planned one week in advance
9. Representing Royal Mail with pride and professionalism

What we need from you:
19. Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held for a minimum of 2 years
20. Minimum 180 days' proven commercial driving experience for insurance purposes
21. Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card are essential
22. No more than 6 penalty points (no DD/DR/IN/CD/TT endorsements accepted)
23. Strong geographical knowledge & a professional attitude
24. Willingness to complete a DBS security check
25. Successful completion of site assessment & induction before starting
