As a Shift Electrician at our Wyke site, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing site-wide electrical systems within our upper-tier COMAH facility.
Reporting to the Maintenance Delivery Leader, you will support safe and reliable plant operations through effective fault finding, maintenance and continuous improvement of electrical systems.
How You’ll Help Us Grow
1. Carry out inspection, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment, including within hazardous areas (DSEAR/ATEX).
2. Diagnose and resolve electrical faults to ensure safe, efficient and continuous plant operations.
3. Minimise plant downtime and support production by maintaining high equipment availability.
4. Perform planned and reactive maintenance activities in line with site and regulatory standards (18th Edition).
5. Support minor electrical projects and contribute to ongoing site improvements.
6. Assist with troubleshooting, problem-solving and continuous improvement of electrical systems.
7. Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure high housekeeping standards across work areas.
8. Provide electrical support to Operations and Maintenance teams, including working under permit-to-work systems.
Could This Be You?
We’re looking for a skilled Electrical professional with strong maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
You will bring:
9. City & Guilds Level 1 & 2 (or higher) in Electrical Engineering.
10. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a maintenance environment with strong knowledge of electrical systems and associated hazards.
11. 18th Edition BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
12. Experience in fault finding, installation and maintenance of industrial electrical systems.
13. A strong understanding of electrical safety systems and safe systems of work.
14. The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
15. A proactive, team-oriented approach with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement aligned to Nufarm’s RARE values.
Desirable:
16. C&G 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing).
17. COMPEX (EX01–04, 05–06).
18. Experience in chemical or COMAH manufacturing environments.
Please note this role operates on a 3 on, 3 off rotating shift pattern covering days and nights.
