Job Title: Management Accountant Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) Location: North West (Hybrid)
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and partnering with various departments to support budgeting and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly management accounts and reconciliations to meet internal deadlines
* Provide insightful variance analysis and updates to forecast
* Maintain accurate ledger postings including sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers
* Assist in annual budget preparation and year-end audit processes
* Support VAT submissions and statistical reporting
* Drive improvements in financial systems and reporting efficiency
* Manage corporate credit card processes and reconciliations
Skills & Experience Required:
* ACCA/CIMA
* Experience preparing management accounts and financial journals
* Strong Excel skills and proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Dynamics GP or similar)
* High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
