Alexander Steele are working in partnership with a well-established food manufacturing business who are looking to recruit two Production Planners to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have planning or supply chain experience within a fast-paced food manufacturing or FMCG environment and has worked in a supply chain planning position previously.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Production planning – Develop and maintain accurate production plans to meet customer demand while maximising factory efficiency and minimising downtime.
* Demand alignment – Work closely with sales and demand planning teams to ensure forecasts are translated into achievable production schedules.
* Material planning – Ensure raw materials and packaging are available in line with production requirements, avoiding shortages or excess stock.
* Inventory management – Monitor stock levels of finished goods and materials to optimise availability while reducing waste and obsolescence.
* Cross-functional collaboration – Liaise with operations, technical, warehouse and procurement teams to ensure plans are executed effectively.
* Plan adherence – Track performance against the production plan, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions where required.
* Continuous improvement – Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, efficiencies and service levels.
* System management – Maintain accurate data within planning systems and ensure all schedules are up to date and communicated clearly.
* Reporting – Provide regular updates on service levels, plan adherence and key KPIs to stakeholders.
Shift Patterns Available
Role 1: Thursday to Monday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Role 2: Sunday & Monday, 4:00am – 12:00pm, Tuesday to Thursday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
