Operations Manager – Beechwood Medical Practice
Beechwood Medical Practice are seeking to appoint an Operations Manager to assist in the management of our growing patient population and workforce. This role is expected to develop and evolve over time as the successful post holder gains experience.
You will work closely with the GPs and other healthcare professionals as part of our multidisciplinary team, based at our GP surgery premises in east Bristol.
Main duties of the job
Your role will involve supporting the day-to-day running of our busy practice, ensuring adequate clinical session cover and liaising with locum staff. You will coordinate staff inductions and work closely with our care coordinators to help achieve service objectives. The role also includes providing key administrative and operational support to the Practice Manager and Deputy Practice Manager.
A good working knowledge of basic IT processes will be needed as you will provide support with day-to-day IT queries within the team.

We are a GP practice of approx 12,900 patients. Situated in the thriving locality of Fishponds, our practice area covers a wide part of east Bristol. We are a member of the FABB Primary Care Network (Fishponds, Air Balloon & Beechwood Practices).
We are tenants in a modern, spacious, purpose built premises and we share the building with Fishponds Family Practice and a variety of community services. Our practice has 14 consulting rooms and a clinical staff of 8 nurses, a paramedic, 2 pharmacists, 4 salaried GPs and 8 GP Partners. Our support team includes 18 Care co‑ordinators.
We positively encourage staff development and are a training and teaching practice. The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop and train in their role with a view to expanding responsibilities in time.
