Position: PROCESS DEVELOPMENT TECHNOLOGIST
Location: Riverside Bakery, Nottingham
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8.30 – 5pm (with flexibility for occasional earlier or later starts)

We seek an experienced Process Development Technologist with a passion for food and a desire to grow within a dynamic industry. Product tasting is a key part of this role, as we produce items like Quiche, party foods, tarts, and pies.
Purpose of Role:
Based at Riverside Bakery, you will support the launch of new and improved products, following our Product Launch Process to ensure timely delivery aligned with our brand strategy, category plans, and growth goals, while meeting all quality standards.
This role involves factory-based work and administrative duties, approximately 60/40 split. You should be comfortable working on the factory floor in a hairnet and also completing desk-based tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning and executing factory trials for new product launches.
* Addressing challenges related to new products and processes, finding innovative solutions to improve quality and efficiency.
* Ensuring product launches meet cost, quality, and timing objectives.
* Collaborating with NPD Managers and Chefs to develop new products per customer requirements.
* Working with Operations and Technical teams to ensure quality and taste standards.
* Supporting and deputising for the Process Development Manager, including participating in meetings and costing.
* Completing necessary documentation such as shelf life testing, organoleptic reviews, nutritional analysis, and QA standards.
* Leading product handover meetings with Operations and communicating effectively about new launches.
About You:
You should have a positive attitude, be able to work calmly under pressure, and possess strong time management and communication skills. Problem-solving skills and the ability to see the bigger picture are essential. You will be hands-on in the factory but also proficient with computers, including Word and Excel.

Qualifications:
* Qualification in a food-related or manufacturing subject
* Experience in food manufacturing within an FMCG environment
* HACCP/Food Safety training and basic knowledge
