Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and motivated ECO4 Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in delivering energy efficiency measures under the Governments ECO4 scheme. The ideal candidate will hold valid Retrofit Assessor, Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA), and Traditional Building qualification credentials, with experience working on older or heritage properties. You must be confident using iPad-based software to complete and upload all surveys, documentation, and photographic evidence efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site ECO4 property surveys in accordance with PAS 2035 guidance.
Complete Retrofit Assessment reports, including occupancy assessments, condition reports, and ventilation calculations.
Assess and record key data on traditional buildings, such as those with solid walls or pre-1919 construction, ensuring appropriate recommendations are made.
Use iPad-based software to upload all findings and documentation in real time.
Liaise with the Retrofit Coordinator and technical team to ensure accurate and complete survey outputs.
Provide clear communication to customers about the ECO4 process and required next steps.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, and compliance requirements.
Follow company procedures for data protection, health and safety, and customer service standards.
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
Level 3 Certificate in Retrofit Assessment (PAS 2035)
Level 3 Certificate as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA)
Recognised Traditional Building Qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency Measures for Older and Traditional Buildings or equivalent)
Experience:
Minimum 1 year experience in ECO, retrofit, or domestic energy assessment.
Proven experience surveying traditional and heritage properties.
Skills:
Competent in using an iPad and associated software for survey work.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Willing to travel- although we endeavour for most surveys to fall with the Northwest there may be need to travel around 2 hours.
Other:
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
DBS check (or willing to undergo one).
