Here at XPO Logistics, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Front Desk Controller to join our existing team in East Leake (Nottinghamshire) on our British Gypsum contract, on a full-time, permanent basis. The shift pattern is Mon-Fri. The role involves a wide range of transport operational responsibilities, including completing transport reports and administrative tasks. You will be working on the day shift from 1100 to 2900.

We’re offering a salary of up to £25,500 per annum. Benefits include 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), with options to buy additional days, high street discounts, a cycle-to-work scheme, a workplace pension, and other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Maintain high system housekeeping and work efficiently to deadlines.
* Organize and manage all paperwork and files for auditing.
* Enter data into the in-house computer system.
* Communicate with customers via phone and email.
* Share data-entry responsibilities with team members.
* Support Shift Managers and the Site Manager as needed.
* Complete 'track and trace' processes using internal systems.
* Prepare dispatch notes and paperwork for internal and external hauliers.
* Provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
* Perform other duties as reasonably required, including delegated tasks during colleagues' absence.
* Manage the POD (proof of delivery) process, ensuring all PODs are processed and sent to relevant departments.
* Work with the fleet department to log defects, meet servicing schedules, and escalate fleet issues.
* Challenge drivers on excessive hours, breaks, POA, and kilometers.
* Keep records of tachograph infringements and license checks.
* Carry out general office duties.
* Check vehicles returning to site against outbound sheets, report concerns to managers.
* Adhere to company policies, including dress code, performance standards, and health and safety.
Additional responsibilities include setting up drivers’ records for new starters to maintain license information.
