About the role:
Deployment lead working to the Network Design Manager & supporting the Regional Operations Directors.
Project delivery - Support the Ops teams with the implementation of change initiatives during go-live, identify, solve and report on any exceptions to the plan. Measure and report on deployment Plan vs Actual and migrate to Ops teams
Planning the Automation and Network Growth Strategy, a multi-year programme impacting all elements of the UK operation with inputs from a cross section of senior stakeholders.
Project Management - As a key member of the UK operations team you will translate the strategic plan into depot designs. Ensuring the plan is communicated both to frontline staff, suppliers and support functions.
Change Load - Defining each project into a clear and detailed change load plan for the Operations team to implement, managing and prioritising this on behalf of the Depot Ops Directors and Group Network Design team.
Operational Governance – Working with the Network Design Manager team to deliver governance across the network strategy – driving visibility, progress and timely decision making across each major change initiative. Including reporting and progress management - associated dependency and risk/issue modelling.
Change Lead - Leading on major change in these functional areas - such as warehouse design, asset design and product/service developments.
Financial & Cost Optimisation - Manage the initiative budgets, track monthly spend vs. budget, and identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives.
Compliance - Ensure 3PL partners follow safety, environmental, and industry-specific regulations.
📍 Location: Home based - (with frequent UK travel)
📅 Shift Pattern: MONDAY - FRIDAY
🕒 Hours: 09.00am - 17.00pm - (however flexibility will be required)
💰 Salary:£50,000p/a + Car allowance and discretionary bonus.
What we need from you:
Can do approach critical.
Complete flexibility required with the occasional weekends & nights to support project deployments and operations support.
Highly proficient in CAD, BI, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Ideally Prince 2 or APMP qualified.
Previous background in Logistics & Network major change.
Risk management and proactive problem-solving.
Stakeholder engagement and management .
Key Experience:
Proven record of managing change in an operational environment, (ideally) at Depot senior management level.
Skilled at working within cross functional teams to deliver plans and change to time, cost and quality KPIs.
Proven ability to negotiate effectively, address objections, and support the identification both of quick wins and broader strategic opportunities.
An analytical and data-oriented approach to planning, ensuring decisions are data/fact based.
Agile and responsive. Can juggle and prioritise tasks, manage multiple opportunities simultaneously, navigate ambiguity, and execute the delivery of our Ops goals.
