Hospital Manager Position at Cygnet Delfryn Lodge and Rhyd Alyn
We are seeking a passionate, focused, and experienced Hospital Manager to join our team at Cygnet Delfryn Lodge and Rhyd Alyn.
This full-time role involves overseeing both facilities, with a 40-hour workweek. About the Facilities
Cygnet Delfryn Lodge: Our high-support inpatient rehabilitation (Level 2) service for women with severe and enduring mental illness, often detained under the Mental Health Act. Many women come to us after multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programs, or as a step-down from secure settings.
Rhyd Alyn: A six-bed community rehabilitation (Level 1) service for women progressing through the hospital pathway at Cygnet Delfryn Lodge, accepting referrals from other high-dependency inpatient services and directly from the community.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the Hospital Manager will provide strong leadership to onsite teams, ensuring the effective functioning of Clinical, Finance, HR, Recruitment, and Support Services. You will oversee the daily operations and strategic direction of the hospital.
* Ensure compliance with CQC and regulatory requirements, meeting clinical, budgetary, and service development targets. Implement risk assessments, risk management, and embed clinical governance.
* Maintain high standards of client care and employee engagement.
* Manage bed availability and coordinate referrals and assessments with the Head of Care and Responsible Clinician.
* Lead investigations, participate in audits, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Identify opportunities for quality improvement and commercial growth.
Requirements
* Managerial experience leading a team within an inpatient service.
* Registered Nurse qualification with a valid PIN – RMN or RNLD.
* Ability to work collaboratively, lead by example, manage performance, and use initiative.
* Experience with CQC guidelines, relevant legislation, and professional regulations.
* Experience conducting investigations and managing complaints confidentially.
* Desirable: Qualifications in Leadership & Management or Health & Social Care.
