Job Role: Technical Engineering Supervisor
Location: City of London
Job Purpose: Manage a maintenance team and approved sub-contractors to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of PPM and reactive maintenance in line with CBRE policies and procedures, industry standards and manufacturers recommendations to meet the needs of The Account.
Responsibilities
* Ensure that safety is a key priority and that self and team consistently demonstrate understanding and commitment to health, safety and environment at all times.
* Manage and coach direct reports to raise observation reports as they go about their daily tasks and lead by example by doing the same.
* Manage team to ensure that all tasks are consistently performed in adherence with CBRE and client policies and procedures, industry best practices and manufacturer recommendations.
* Maintain and update the FM CAFM system M5K at all stages with detailed closure notes for PPM, reactive tasks and ad hoc or emergency requests, so that The Account customers and CBRE personnel can access M5K and understand why a job was raised, action taken, follow-up actions, and closure notes.
* Review job reports from in-house CBRE and subcontractor PPMs and ensure copies of reports and recommendations are uploaded to M5K; raise Webquotes and submit to client for approval after attendance.
* Manage and distribute the on-call rota to ensure adequate coverage in line with client requirements.
* Lead the management of subcontractors in line with CBRE and client policies, including control of works and Permit to Work.
* Undertake subcontractor service inspections during works and conduct site inspections and audits of tools and equipment.
* Carry out log book audits and address any issues identified.
* Take ownership of onboarding for new starts, ensuring prerequisites (uniforms, tools, payroll setup, induction and training plans) are in place for start date.
* Ensure direct reports are fully trained and competent in all aspects of the job including SOPs, method statements, The Account training and site-specific tasks (e.g., GMP, labs, cleanrooms where relevant) with training plans signed off within required timeframes.
* Support direct reports with training and development plans.
* Support client personnel and Asset Engineering Team with tasks and ensure all details are captured on M5K, including recommendations and closure notes.
* Maintain the professional image of CBRE Managed Services and establish good working relationships with CBRE staff and client representatives.

* Able to make decisions to facilitate above tasks to satisfactory conclusion.
* Maintain and control costs within budget.
* Negotiate best price with suppliers and sub-contractors.
