We are looking to welcome an experienced Welder to join our skilled team and perform welding activities on some of the UK's well-known products. You will master a variety of techniques on a wide range of components, including carbon steel, armour steel, and aluminium. The majority of the work will involve MIG welding, where your dexterity and hand-eye coordination will help produce clean and precise welds.
ABOUT THE ROLE
* Perform welding activities on carbon steel, armour steel, aluminium
* Weld various joint configurations in all positions
* Ensure equipment parameters are set to the optimum to fully satisfy weld quality, integrity, and WPS requirements
* Review engineering drawings for parts to be welded
* Satisfy production schedules to the correct quality level and within the specified time scale
* Carry out and record daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks and safety inspections
* Ensure correct marking up of component parts
* Adhere to the labelling system
ABOUT YOU
* Recent/relevant welding and fabrication experience
* Understanding of quality procedures and customer requirements
* Ideally a coded welder
* Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures
* Proficient with metal fabrication tools
* Advanced mathematical and engineering skills
* Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Focus on quality and ability to promote its importance
* Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
WORKING HOURS
* Week 1: Monday-Friday 0600-1400
* Week 2: Monday-Thursday 2000-0600 (Thursday 2030-0600)
