The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, including loading and unloading goods, stocking shelves, and maintaining an organised workspace. This position requires physical stamina and a commitment to safety. Duties Safely to move products within the warehouse, handballing stock and unloading containers. Utilise a warehouse management system for tracking inventory and managing stock levels. Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper storage and organisation of goods. Perform picking and packing of orders accurately for shipping. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders. Load and unload lorries, ensuring that all items are handled with care to prevent damage. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse environment. Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory management tasks. Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure operational efficiency. Experience Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, particularly in roles involving materials handling and production Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 is advantageous. Experience in construction or related fields is a plus, especially for those with mechanical knowledge. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail in stocking and inventory processes is essential.
