* Champion accessibility by ensuring all content meets WCAG standards and aligns with council style guides and web policies.

* Use insights, analytics, metrics and user research (including usability testing) to inform decisions, challenge assumptions and drive continuous improvement.

* Support and coach content editors to build capability and ensure content is high-quality and consistent across services.

* Work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, managing workflows and project timelines to deliver meaningful improvements.

* Represent Digital Services at meetings, workshops and project groups, strengthening relationships across council departments.

About you

We are looking for someone with:

* Creative thinking that supports long-term planning and continuous improvement.

* Experience in content design, website development and accessibility, with a track record of delivering high-quality, user-centred content.

* Knowledge of WCAG standards and the ability to apply them in practice.

* Experience using analytics, user research and feedback to shape and improve content.

* Confidence managing multiple workstreams and adapting to shifting priorities.

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams.

* Experience using content management systems, along with the ability to support others in using them effectively.

Why this role matters

Your work will directly shape how thousands of residents access information, interact with services and navigate our digital platforms. You’ll play a key role in modernising our online presence and ensuring it is clear, inclusive and easy to use for everyone.
