Junior NPI Engineer - Optics / Scientific Instruments
Location: Oxfordshire
Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 + Benefits

Responsibilities
* Support the design and development of new optical products and scientific instruments
* Carry out hands-on optical design and simulation using tools such as Zemax
* Contribute to testing, analysis and validation of optical and photonic systems
* Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams to bring new products from concept through to manufacture
Requirements
* Degree, Master's or PhD in Physics, Optics, Photonics or related discipline
* 1+ years' experience in an R&D or product development environment (academic or industrial)
* Practical experience in optical design and modelling (Zemax or equivalent)
Desirable Skills
* Simulation and analysis of optical or photonic systems
* Experience with electronics hardware or opto-electronics
* Knowledge of product development processes and NPI (new product introduction)
