Learning Support Assistant - TA Charnwood Primary Academy, Lichfield The Multi Academies Trust Board is seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team at Charnwood Primary Academy. Location-Charnwood Primary Academy, Lichfield, WS13 7PH Description Salary: Grade 3, SCP 4 FTE £25,185 (pro rata) Hours: 30hrs p/week Full/Part Time: Part Time Closing Date for Applications: Friday 28 th November Contract Type: Term time, Fixed term 31 st August 2026 (potential to extend) Start Date: 1 st January 2026 The successful candidate will provide care and support to the children of Charnwood in all aspects of the school day. Part of the role will also include supervising and supporting pupils eating their lunch and in outdoor play activities. Part of this role will be 1:1 support for a pupil with learning needs. The successful candidate will need to support a child in the EYFS with accessing provision, delivering personal and small group interventions and some personal care. Within this varied role, there will be a number of responsibilities including: Providing learning support for pupils across the school. Support in sessions and delivery 1:1 or small group interventions. Making observations of individuals and feeding this information back to the class teacher. Working with outside agencies and implementing suggested actions and interventions. Providing personal care and support as needed. Developing strong relationships with parents through regular communication. Key Skills and experience needed: Teaching and Learning Level 3 qualification Experience as a teaching assistant or learning support assistant. A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes for children. An enthusiastic and friendly approach. Understanding and proficiency in the core subjects of the Primary National Curriculum. Desired skills (not essential): Experience working 1:1 with children. Experience of EYFS.
