The opportunity is to join our Apprentice Programme in the Civil Engineering team based in Ashford or London as a Degree Apprentice (Level 6) Civil Engineer, supporting a range of development and road infrastructure projects.
We foster a collaborative, environmentally conscious approach and aim to deliver sustainable solutions for public sector schemes, private development and regeneration.
Responsibilities
* Design & Modeling: Develop concept, preliminary and detailed schemes; prepare 3D design models; perform engineering calculations; design/evaluate drainage networks.
* Documentation: Prepare full drawing packages, design reports, technical notes and specifications.
* Environmental Focus: Research current technologies and construction techniques to ensure environmentally sensitive designs, including carbon emission calculations.
* Project Management Support: Assist with cost estimates (value engineering) and Health & Safety risk management.
* Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with clients and other professionals; manage on-site surveys and assessments; understand infrastructure stakeholders.
This apprenticeship combines work with study toward an academic qualification: a Level 6 BEng Civil Engineering degree with Coventry University (block release). Details discussed during recruitment.
You must meet the minimum entry requirements stated in the advertisement and be comfortable with Training Provider options (day and/or block release).
Qualifications
For Our Level 6 Apprenticeship You Will Need Either
* UCAS tariff points: 112 points minimum;
* A level: BBC including Mathematics (grade B or above) and one other analytical subject (grade B or above);
* BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma: DD M with Merit or above in Mathematics and Further Mathematics in Construction units; suitable courses listed;
* Scottish Highers: 4 Highers including Mathematics;
* Irish Leaving Certificate: Higher levels including Mathematics and an analytical science;
* International Baccalaureate: 32 points with HL5 Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches) and another science subject;
* Other equivalent qualifications may be considered.
You Must Also Have
* GCSEs: at least 5 GCSEs with grade 5-6 (B) or above in Mathematics and English; Functional Skills Level 2 accepted.

Please note: Apprentices are expected to come into the office 4 days per week to ensure appropriate support.
