Year 1 Teacher – Primary School in Bournemouth
GSL Education are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bournemouth. This full-time position is available from September 2025 and will run for the full academic year until July 2026. The school is open to applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators.
Responsibilities of a Year 1 Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that supports all learners.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and support to help every child thrive.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student development.
* Uphold the school’s values and maintain high standards of behaviour and learning.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young learners.
* Strong classroom management and communication skills.
* Flexibility, creativity, and a commitment to inclusive education.
* A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
* An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
