Overview
To support and assist the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in maintaining and enhancing good and outstanding practices, with the goal of achieving exceptional outcomes for our children, team members, and the home as a whole. This includes working collaboratively with the senior team to develop, promote, and embed best practices that drive continuous improvement across all areas of care and provision.

Key Responsibilities
* Uphold and model the home’s ethos, ensuring a nurturing, aspirational, and child-centered environment is consistently maintained.
* Build positive, warm, and trusting relationships with children, offering unconditional positive regard.
* Act as a role model to children and colleagues, promoting positive behavior, emotional resilience, and personal development.
* Undertake working hours flexibly, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and bank holidays as required.
* Support the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager in identifying and addressing issues of concern, complaints, or team disharmony in line with home policies.
* Take responsibility for children on a 1:1 basis, ensuring all their needs are met during this time.
* Devise, implement, and regularly review children’s Care/My Plans in consultation with the child and the management team.
* Ensure plans reflect the changing needs, risks, and achievements of each child, and recommend additional resources where necessary.
* Maintain and update children’s risk assessments, including activity-specific risk assessments.
* Keep accurate and timely records and contribute to reports for planning meetings, reviews, and other relevant forums.
* Understand and uphold safeguarding responsibilities, reporting any concerns in line with safeguarding protocols and home policies.
* Be willing to work towards and complete the Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (if not already achieved).
Requirements
* Childcare qualification – NVQ / Diploma level 3 health and social care, children, and young people equivalent
* Current full driving license
* 12 months experience working with children and a good understanding of Ofsted policies
