What you’ll be doing
1. Accountable for the architecture and governance of cloud platforms, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.
2. Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade cloud solutions, including infrastructure as code (IaC), automation, and orchestration.
3. Own the lifecycle management of cloud services, from planning and deployment to optimisation and cost control.
4. Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers, fostering best practices and continuous improvement.
5. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, scalable cloud architectures.
6. Drive incident resolution and root cause analysis for complex cloud-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact.
7. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
The skills and experience you'll need
8. Proven experience in cloud architecture and engineering across major platforms (AWS (Preferred), Azure, GCP).
9. Strong proficiency in automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
10. Deep understanding of networking, security, and compliance frameworks in cloud environments.
11. Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor team members, with excellent communication skills.
12. Expertise in monitoring, performance tuning, and cost optimization for cloud services.
Preferred Qualifications
13. Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
14. Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
15. Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and cloud-native security tools.
