We are currently partnering with a Local Authority based in Greater Manchester, who are recruiting for a Principal Lawyer to join their Childcare team on a locum, 3 month (minimum) contract.
This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of circa. £60 - £70/hour (Umbrella) and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Managing a team of Solicitors overseeing legal services relating to childcare/family matters
* Allocating workload, conducting performance reviews and providing guidance to the team
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards
* Providing strategic legal advice to senior stakeholders and deputising for senior management
* Contributing to strategic, developmental and client related issues arising from management of the team and the wider Group
Requirements:
* Experience managing a team in a legal setting
* Qualified Solicitor
* Experience within Childcare/Family law
