Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator (VDA) needed in Oswestry, Shropshire
1. Basic Salary: £35,000 + Bonus
2. Monday to Friday role: 8:30am til 5pm

Our client is a growing Accident Repair Centre in Shropshire, with a great team and bright & modern workshop. With insurance work volumes increasing they are now seeking an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join their team.

Duties of a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator with our client:
12. Inspect and assess damaged vehicles, calculating repair costs and timescales
13. Identify the correct repair methodology using Audatex / Thatcham Escribe
14. Prepare accurate electronic and manual estimates for insurer approval
15. Liaise with insurance companies, customers, and engineers to authorise repairs
16. Ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality repair methods
17. Produce workshop job schedules, liaise with workshop staff, and keep customers updated
18. Work closely with parts suppliers to ensure timely and accurate orders
What our client expects of their Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator:
19. Audatex experience is highly desirable
20. ATA, NVQ Level 3, or City & Guilds qualifications preferred — time-served assessors considered
21. Strong background in a Bodyshop environment
22. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume repair setting
23. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
24. Competence with Bodyshop management systems
25. UK/EU Driving Licence required
26. A hands-on, team-player attitude and customer-focused mindset
