Our client is seeking a proactive and technically confident Performing Arts Technician to join a well-established independent school in Hampshire from April. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes and contributing to high-quality productions, lessons, and events.
The Role
* Providing technical support for Drama, Music, and Performing Arts lessons
* Setting up and operating sound, lighting, and basic AV equipment
* Supporting rehearsals, performances, concerts, and school productions
* Ensuring performance spaces are safe, organised, and well maintained
* Managing props, staging, and technical resources
* Assisting staff and pupils with the safe use of equipment
* Supporting events and performances, including occasional out-of-hours work
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Experience in a Performing Arts, Drama, Music, or technical theatre role
* Practical knowledge of sound and lighting equipment
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* A flexible and proactive approach to work
* Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
* An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
* The legal right to work in the UK
