High School and Middle School Hall Monitor
Position Goal
To assist in the maintenance of a safe and orderly school environment for scholars and staff.
Responsibilities
* Patrol and supervise hallways, cafeteria, restrooms, entrance ways, and school grounds, as well as parking and bus areas.
* Check hall passes and escort scholars as necessary.
* Serve as a greeter at the main entrance ensuring that visitors follow proper sign-in procedures and offer assistance by giving directions and answering questions.
* Keep/monitor building and grounds clear of people not on official school business.
* Escort violators or school policy offenders to school authorities and assists administration as needed.
* Assists with evacuation drill/lock sown responsibilities as assigned by President or designee.
* Assists administration with traffic and parking lot responsibilities as assigned by President or designee.
* Assists, as directed by school authorities, in stopping disturbances and undue distractions.
* Confer with the President/Deans on matters of concern.
* Assist law enforcement officers as directed by President or designee.
* Attend safety and other meetings as requested by the President or designee.
* Prepare and submit written reports of security and discipline violations as required by the Principal or designee.
* Assist in the supervision and execution of the loading and unloading of scholars on school buses.
* Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the Chancellor, President, or designee.

Terms of Employment
This is a 10-month position. All contractual information will be outlined in the contract between the Hall Monitor and the City University Schools Board of Trustees. The Hall Monitor will be evaluated in accordance with Board policy.
