Macgregor Black are partnering with a leading UK toy company on the search for an Area Sales Manager. This is a permanent role based in the South of England.
As the Area Sales Manager you will manage and grow sales across the South of England. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling a range of licensed plush toys, soft toys, and figurines into a variety of retail channels including independent toy stores, gift shops, garden centres, and specialist retailers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and grow sales within an established territory in the South of England.
* Develop strong relationships with existing retail customers and identify opportunities for growth.
* Proactively seek and open new independent retail accounts across relevant channels.
* Present the product range to buyers and store owners, highlighting key lines and promotional opportunities.
* Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective planning and execution.
* Attend relevant trade shows and regional events to represent the brand and generate new business.
* Provide regular reports and feedback on territory performance, competitor activity, and customer trends.
* Work closely with internal teams including marketing, logistics, and product development to ensure customer satisfaction and effective communication.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven field sales experience, ideally in the toy, gift, or licensed products sector.
* Strong knowledge of independent retail channels and a good network within the territory is highly desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
* Self-starter with strong time management and organisational abilities.
* Comfortable working remotely and managing your own schedule.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the South of England.
Salary - £32k + benefits + Car
