Role: Head Of Operations
Location: Hybrid – Remote with potential for in-person work in Greater Manchester. Occasional travel to Wigan may be required. Visits during the application process are welcomed.
Salary: £40,000 (pro rata based on 0.8 FTE, equivalent to £50,000 FTE). Contract hours are negotiable based on experience and availability.

Role Overview: The Head of Operations will help transform Happy Smiles Training into a scalable, self-sustaining organization, working closely with leadership to shape our next chapter.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop operational systems and infrastructure across regions
2. Manage impact planning, reporting, and income generation
3. Embed HR processes aligned with our inclusive values
4. Ensure quality assurance and consistency in training
5. Recruit and develop staff and volunteers
6. Oversee daily operations and staff support
7. Support strategic planning, fundraising, and partnerships
8. Document processes in Wigan for expansion
Essential Experience:
* Proven senior leadership or operations experience in CICs, charities, or social enterprises
* Impact management, budget, and reporting expertise
* Passion for disability inclusion and community impact
* Strong organizational and project management skills
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and proactive
Desirable Skills:
* Lived experience of disability or working with disabled organizations
* Experience managing remote/hybrid teams or scaling inclusive organizations
* Knowledge of training delivery, safeguarding, and quality frameworks
