Teaching Personnel are currently looking for our next set of teaching assistant to support and nurture a class of students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) which can include but are not limited to communication challenges, anxiety, depression, emotional and behavioural difficulties, ADHD, medical needs and specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. Making understanding, empathy and patience are essential qualities for this role. You will be working with students aged between 5 and 16, playing a pivotal role in creating that safe and nurturing environment where students thrive not only academically but also emotionally. Position Details: Start date – September 2025 (continuing throughout the academic year) Working hours – 8:30am – 3:30pm (may vary depending on the school) Schedule – Monday to Friday, term time only (full time and part time positions available) Location Bath (BA14 Area) Potential to transition to contract with the school for the right candidate (if desirable) Requirements A child only DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel) Right to work in the UK Two proofs of address References from your last 2 working years What will you do? Support the classroom teacher in delivering the schools tailored curriculum to the students, and assist with the students learning either in small groups or on a one-to-one basis Work closely with a team of teaching assistants to provide customized support to the students within your classroom of between 8 and 10 pupils Develop a trusting bond with the students you work with to ensure they feel safe with your environment and to allow them to thrive not only academically but also emotionally Ensuring all feel welcomed in your presence and motivate tour students to perform at the best of their abilities Foster professional relationships with fellow teaching staff in your classroom and across the school Who are we looking for?
