This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer and post graduate Structural Engineer to join our team in Belfast.
Role Description (Structural Engineer)
This is a full-time role for a Structural Engineer at their Belfast office. The role will be office-based but you will be required to be willing and able to work remotely or from home should the need arise.
The Structural Engineer will be responsible for design calculations, structural analysis and computer-aided design (CAD) tasks on a day-to-day basis. A sound knowledge of civil engineering will be beneficial but not essential.
Typical tasks and role requirements will include:
* Experience working in a structural engineering design consultancy in Northern Ireland
* In depth knowledge of Structural Engineering related British Standards and Eurocodes
* In depth knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software
* Proficient with 2D and 3D design analysis using Master series and Tedd’s software
* Strong knowledge of all main structural materials(steel, concrete, timber and masonry)
* Practical approach to developing the design of buildable structures
* Strong communication skills (written & sketches)
* Production of NBS Specifications, structural reports etc.
* Whilst the successful candidate will work within a team and be well supported, the ability to work independently and to support less experienced engineers would be required.
* Proven ability to manage projects, brief and supervise technicians and represent the company on site and at Client meetings etc.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Minimum 2:1 degree in Civil Engineering or related field
* CEng MIStructEis preferable or strong graduate approaching chartership
* Driving License and use of own car required
