This is a full-time, permanent role offering MPS/UPS pay plus a TLR 2a allowance, committed to finding passionate professionals who can inspire students and support academic excellence.
About the Role
As Second‑in‑RE, you will:
- Support the ethos and mission of the school while driving high standards in Religious Education.
- Assist the Subject Leader to elevate pupil attainment through top-quality learning, teaching, and assessment.
- Deliver consistently "Good or Better" lessons, maintain strong classroom environments, and contribute to the development of robust teaching resources.
- Monitor pupil progress and coordinate effective interventions to ensure continual improvement.
- Participate in the school's reporting, assessments, evaluation procedures, and support quality assurance and improvement strategies.
- Attend Parents' Evenings, open evenings, staff meetings, and other required events as part of your directed time.
- Engage actively in performance management, whole-school initiatives, and out-of-hours activities to enhance student learning and home‑school partnerships.
What We're Looking For
You are a dedicated teacher with:
- Experience teaching Religious Education to Key Stage 3 and 4.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, and achieving measurable student progress.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to support colleagues and contribute to departmental initiatives.
- A proactive approach to continuous professional development and excellence in classroom practice.
