What's involved with this role: Job Title: Senior Housing Officer Ref: S Hams 5270900 Pay rate: Up to £18.26 per hour PAYE Flexible working, with a significant proportion of the role to be homeworking. The role: On behalf of our client, we are seeking a well organised and dynamic Senior Housing Officer with a residential lettings and property management background to manage the temporary housing property portfolio. You will work in accordance with best practice, ensuring efficient allocation, and management of accommodation for the prevention and relief of homelessness in accordance with statutory requirements and powers. You will need to be prepared to travel, and to work independently in the field as well as part of the wider housing team. Key responsibilities: Work as part of a multi-skilled case management and administration team to deliver a range of property management related processes efficiently and effectively, providing a fast, high quality and continuously improving service for customers Managing and responding to tenant and landlord queries via phone, email and in person Arranging and conducting frequent property inspections to ensure properties are being well maintained Handling check-in and check-out processes including inventories Maintaining accurate records of databases of properties and lettings Collect and manage rental payments Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, liaising with internal and external contractors Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner Issue warnings and pursue evictions where required What the client is looking for: Educated to A Level standard or equivalent or qualified by strong relevant experience Full clean drivers licence and access to a vehicle insured for work purposes Experience in a lettings or property management role Strong understanding of the residential lettings process and relevant legislation A good knowledge of support work practices A basic understanding of the Housing Act 1996 (as amended) A good understanding of the Equalities legislation, policy and procedures An excellent understanding of professional boundaries Experience of keeping detailed records High level of organisational, administrative and customer service skills Good written and verbal communication skills and problem solving skills Proficient in relevant IT applications How to Apply Quote the Job Title and Reference Number in your application.
