Oracle Cloud HR Helpdesk Consultant
Location: Scotland (Glasgow / Edinburgh - hybrid with 2-3 days on-site per-week
Duration: 12 months
Clearance: Willingness and eligibility to obtain SG OPSEC clearance
Overview
We're seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud HR Helpdesk Consultant to join a high-profile Shared Services programme supporting over 20,000 users across HR, ERP, and EPM modules.
Since going live in October 2024, the programme has moved into a critical phase focused on live system support, continuous improvement, and expansion across additional Scottish Government bodies. This role will play a key part in ensuring the ongoing success and evolution of the platform.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver and support Oracle Cloud HR Helpdesk solutions end-to-end
2. Capture and translate business requirements into scalable solutions
3. Configure and build helpdesk functionality, including agent setup and workflows
4. Support testing, deployment, and optimisation of solutions
5. Provide ongoing support for a live Oracle HR system
6. Assist with monthly and quarterly Oracle upgrades
7. Contribute to enhancements and system improvements
8. Support the expansion of the platform to additional organisations
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across HR, ERP, and EPM
Must-Have Skills & Experience
10. Minimum 5 years UK residency (mandatory)
11. Must be UK-based
12. Proven experience delivering HR Helpdesk solutions end-to-end
13. Hands-on experience with:
Managing helpdesk agents
Requirements gathering
Solution configuration/build
Testing and deployment
14. Strong experience supporting Oracle HR modules in a live environment
15. Experience with Oracle system upgrades and enhancements
16. Ability to work on large-scale systems (20,000+ users)
Nice-to-Have Skills
17. Experience in public sector or government environments
18. Exposure to ERP and EPM modules
19. Experience working within Shared Services programmes
20. Background in large-scale transformation or system rollouts
