Job Purpose:

Following a period of sustained growth over the last 5 years, we require a Head of Business Development to drive sales and marketing activity in line with our key business objectives. The purpose of the role is to develop and oversee our commercial strategy, working with the Directors to prioritise and execute projects to facilitate growth.

We want to hear from candidates with a range of experience - we value potential as well as experience. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, outgoing and have strong branding, marketing, sales and customer relationship management qualities.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Work with our Directors to develop our existing commercial strategy to enable us to exceed our growth targets.
2. Lead the business development team to increase leads, lead conversion generation and effective pipeline management to achieve significant income growth across our product portfolio.
3. Drive income growth by leveraging market, industry and economic opportunities in line with set annual targets, budgets and KPIs.
4. Drive innovation and thought leadership by providing research and insights. Play an active role in delivering the business development strategy such as chairing round table discussions, setting up sector interest groups and leveraging research and external affairs outputs.
5. Act as an advocate for PARCOR and be visible externally with presentations and speaking engagements. Network and build relationships with prospects and stakeholders.
6. Responsible for creating social media strategies and campaigns. Manage and develop the company’s social media platforms and support the team to create content such as blogs, press releases, and literature to position PARCOR as a thought leader within our target industries.
7. Research and secure new business tenders, frameworks, Dynamic Purchasing Systems (DPS), and accreditations.
8. Organise and coordinate business and social events.
9. Be a brand ambassador, leading efforts to build our corporate brand.
10. Work with the Directors, team members, and other departments to provide strategic direction for business development, including sector penetration. Build relationships with key stakeholders to amplify activity.
11. Manage relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
12. Coach and performance manage team members to drive income growth. Ensure an effective sales process is in place.
13. Develop market and sector knowledge, understanding core client needs.
14. Participate in the senior management team, attending meetings, contributing to strategy, and acting as an internal consultant.
15. Collaborate with other departments for new product and service launches.
16. Ensure the value proposition for prospective clients is clearly documented and communicated.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

* A degree in Marketing, Business, Finance or relevant fields.
* MBA or equivalent qualification.
* Experience in Social Housing, Surveying, and Retrofit sectors.
* Capabilities in branding and marketing.
* Strong communication and networking skills.
* Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively.
* Detail-oriented with copywriting skills.
* Proactive in identifying new business opportunities.
* Experience in pipeline management and delivering income growth.
* Understanding of sales processes and sector networks.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
* Strong questioning, listening, and communication skills.
* Effective time management and prioritization.
* Leadership and team management experience.
* Relationship-building skills.
