JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title : Yard Supervisor
Reports to : Yard & Transport Manager
Key responsibilities :
· To assist in all aspects of the Yard Operation within the branch.
· To assist the Yard & Transport Manager set and maintain standards
· To serve trade and retail customers, to make up orders, to unload and load delivery vehicles and maintain the general housekeeping in the branch.
Location : IBT Grangemouth, Central Scotland
Salary : Discussed at interview stage
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
_ Deal with all customer collections relating to material stocked by IBT_
_ Operate IBT plant and machinery in a safe and responsible manner_
_ Maintain and build relationships with customers and colleagues_
_ General housekeeping of the aforementioned area to ensure all products and display areas are adequately stocked and in a clean and presentable manner_
_ Load and unload supplier and IBT delivery vehicles_
_ Work within other departments as requested to meet customer demands_
_ Participate in company stock takes ensuring an accurate count of all stock_
_ Any other tasks as required to ensure the efficient operation of the department as requested by the Branch Management._

Experience and skills
Previous experience in a Builders / Timber Merchant at a supervisory or senior level is preferable.
Fork Lift licence and experience is a mandatory requirement for the role. Side Loader experience would also be desirable.
