Job Responsibilities
* Address and resolve database incidents promptly to minimize downtime.
* Monitor events, handle alerts, and manage database outages to restore services quickly.
* Process service requests for database changes and enhancements.
* Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring database issues.
* Support the implementation of standard and custom database builds.
* Provide operational support for HANA and MS-SQL databases.
* Ensure adherence to backup and recovery processes.
* Optimize database performance and manage alert monitoring.
* Decommission systems/servers following proper protocols as needed.
Job Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
* Strong experience with HANA and MS-SQL databases.
* 2 - 5 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on HANA and MS-SQL.
* Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Computer Engineering or any related field.
* Proficiency in RDBMS management and administration.
* Knowledge of backup, recovery, and decommissioning processes.
* Experience in incident management and database performance optimization in a 24x7 environment.
* Experience managing database outages and coordinating effective recovery.
* Familiarity with alert monitoring and performance optimization.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure in a 24x7 support environment.
* Effective communication skills for incident and service request management.
* Prior experience in 24x7 operational support.
