Job description
We are seeking a qualified RVN or experienced Veterinary Nurse to join a dedicated team in St Albans.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Providing high-quality nursing care.
* Supporting veterinary surgeons in all aspects of clinical work.
* Communicating effectively with clients regarding their pets' health.
* Participating in a mixture of early shifts (7 am - 3 pm) and late shifts (11 am - 7 pm).
* Assisting with occasional Saturday morning shifts (8 am - 12 pm).
On-Call and Out of Hours (OOH) Care:
The practice provides its own out-of-hours (OOH) emergency care for clients. This would include:
* 1 in 8 weekends on-call.
* 5 week nights on-call over an 8-week period.
Requirements:
* Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification or equivalent experience as a Veterinary Nurse.
* Previous experience in a veterinary nursing role.
* Strong clinical and practical nursing skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both with clients and within the team.
* The ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Proficiency in using veterinary software and equipment.
* A compassionate and caring approach to animal care.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
