Solutions Architect
Location: Stevenage (Hybrid: 1–2 days in office, Mon–Fri)Salary: Up to £61,500Hours: 35 per week (Mon–Fri)
My client is seeking a skilled Solutions Architect to design robust, scalable, and strategically aligned technology solutions that directly support organisational goals. This role plays a key part in shaping how technology improves processes, services, and overall business value.
Working closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and the Enterprise Architect, you will ensure that solutions are well-designed, feasible, and aligned with wider architectural standards. You’ll help frame business problems, evaluate technical options, and use methods such as proofs of concept and prototypes to demonstrate value.
This is a collaborative role that requires strong communication skills, the ability to translate complex concepts for non-technical audiences, and a passion for continuous improvement across architecture, processes, and solution delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Design high-quality technical solutions aligned to enterprise architecture principles and business priorities.
* Produce solution designs that are robust, feasible, and aligned with existing capabilities and standards.
* Work with business stakeholders to shape opportunities, clarify requirements, and propose practical technology options.
* Conduct analysis to generate innovative solutions for complex technical and business challenges.
* Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect to identify improvements in architectures, processes, and technical capabilities.
* Define scope, requirements, and impact assessments, coordinating Business Analysts as needed.
* Lead workshops and whiteboard sessions to clarify business processes and solution approaches.
* Maintain strong understanding of systems architecture and use this insight to guide solution choices.
* Support delivery teams through implementation to ensure design intent is realised.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, tailoring information for different audiences.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing insights and supporting team goals.
* Participate in cross-team collaboration to enhance operational excellence and deliver organisational objectives.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience designing and delivering technical solutions across all architecture layers.
* Strong foundational technical knowledge: integration patterns, APIs, databases, security, IAM, cloud components, and application development principles.
* Experience designing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics.
* Ability to analyse complex problems and deliver effective, measurable solutions.
* Strong capability to recommend balanced solution options considering cost, complexity, timelines, and architectural alignment.
* Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly to varied audiences.
* Experience working through full software and business lifecycles.
