Deputy Store Manager – Peterborough

Responsibilities
* Lead by example: train, motivate, and support your team.
* Keep the store safe, secure, and welcoming for staff and customers.
* Organise staff rotas, holidays, and step in when needed.
* Handle stock – deliveries, recalls, inventories, and displays.
* Manage tills, cash handling, and paperwork with confidence.
* Create eye‑catching promotions and point‑of‑sale displays.
* Deliver top‑notch customer service every single day.
* Drive sales and smash targets.
* Act as a keyholder – alarms, callouts, and security checks.
* Cover other stores when needed and keep an eye on competitors.
Qualifications
* Great organisational skills and a professional attitude.
* Effective communication and people skills.
* Flexibility with hours and days – retail never sleeps!
* Previous retail management or customer service experience.
* Basic computer skills (Windows, email).
* Leadership, motivation, and a cheerful outlook.
* Good physical fitness and willingness to relocate if needed.
* First Aid / Health & Safety qualifications are a bonus.
