Equans is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Bury, Greater Manchester on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week for our GEM contract - this would also include taking part in a on-call rota. For this role we're offering a salary of £27, with a competitive benefits package.
General Overview
Candidate will be 18th edition certified plus a Level 2 NVQ in electrical trade or equivalent experience. They must have working knowledge of building services. Responsibilities will include supporting planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, minor works, fault-finding, electrical infrastructure systems (single & three phase), basic HVAC, electrical isolations, building management systems (BMS) and general building maintenance tasks.
Impact:
Successful candidate will be working on a static site in Bury, Great Manchester in carrying out service, maintenance, and repair to electrical and general building services. The candidate will be part of a small team of Hard Services technician who responsibility it is to ensure the building always remains fully compliant.
Complexity:
The role will include PAT testing, fault-finding, lamp changing, emergency light testing, minor electrical work installations etc. Whilst on site candidate will be required to carry out other general building maintenance and be required to join the out of hours on call rota.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
Relevant electrical qualifications and experience to 18th Edition
Broad knowledge of building services
Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations
Good general knowledge is required with the ability to reason
Ability to liaise with management & workforce
Ability to act on own initiative
This position is subject to the person obtaining SC & DBS clearance
