What You’ll Do: As the Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in leading our employee relations initiatives. You will partner with both managers and employees to resolve workplace issues, enhance people practices, and foster a high-performing culture. Your expertise will help us shape our long-term employee relations strategy and strengthen workplace relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Shape ER Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop an overarching employee relations strategy that aligns with business objectives and promotes a positive employee experience.
* Manage Employee Relations: Oversee all employee relations activities, ensuring compliance and effective management of workplace issues.
* Policy & Procedure Development: Support the review and implementation of people policies that reflect best practices and comply with employment laws.
* Conflict Resolution: Address employee grievances by conducting thorough investigations and facilitating effective dispute resolutions.
* Lead & Mentor: Guide the ER team in day-to-day case management activities, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
* Due Diligence: Maintain accurate documentation of all ER cases, providing insightful trends to senior leadership.
* Coaching & Guidance: Coach managers on performance management and disciplinary procedures to enhance workplace relations.
* Training: Facilitate training sessions for managers and employees on conflict resolution and communication skills.
* Monitor Trends: Stay updated on HR trends and regulations to ensure our practices remain compliant.
* Build Reputation: Establish and maintain trust and credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
* A degree or relevant experience in Human Resources, Employment Law, or a related field (CIPD qualification or equivalent required).
* Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases.
* Experience in developing ER strategies in fast-paced environments.
* Solid understanding of UK employment laws and regulations.

* Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to navigate sensitive negotiations in high-pressure situations.
