About Us:

Our client is a growing multi-utility services provider committed to excellence in delivery, innovation, and people. As we continue to expand, we are looking to appoint an HR professional who can support our teams across day-to-day HR operations and play a strategic role in driving people-focused initiatives.

Role Overview:

This is a broad and varied role, ideal for someone with hands-on HR experience, keen to grow their career within a dynamic, fast-paced business. You’ll be involved in everything from daily HR administration to supporting managers on employee relations, performance management, and recruitment. Whether you're early in your HR career or bring a few years' experience, we’re open to candidates with the right attitude, commercial awareness, and drive to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

* Act as the first point of contact for HR queries from employees and managers, providing accurate advice and support.
* Maintain and update HR systems and personnel files in line with GDPR compliance.
* Support employee lifecycle processes including starters, leavers, promotions, probation reviews, and contract changes.
* Assist in managing employee relations cases such as disciplinary, grievance, sickness, and performance, in line with policy.
* Coordinate training and development activities; liaise with external training providers.
* Provide HR reporting and data insights to support business decisions.
* Collaborate with line managers on HR policy, process improvement, and business partnering initiatives.
* Support broader operations and office administration where needed, working closely with the senior management team.

What We’re Looking For:

* Previous experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in a commercial or operations-led environment.
* Understanding of employment law, HR processes, and best practices.
* Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
* Confident communicator, comfortable working with staff at all levels.
* Proactive, people-focused, and solutions-oriented approach.

Desirable (Not Essential):

* CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or working towards) – support will be offered for the right candidate.
* Experience in utilities, construction, or engineering sectors.
* Exposure to working in a business partner capacity or supporting line managers directly.

What We Offer:

* Full funding support for CIPD qualifications
* Career development within a growing business
* Supportive and collaborative team environment
* Flexible and dynamic working culture
* Competitive salary and benefits package
