Weekly rotating shift pattern
- 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday.
- 2pm to 11pm Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 6pm on a Friday.
- Whilst training the hours will be 8am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm on Friday.
What are you going to do
- Effectively manage the day to day operation of all production areas.
- Effectively run production orders following the schedule to maintain customer deliveries on time.
- Lead a shift of production machine operators.
- Ensure adherence to Health & safety guidelines, and adherence to BRC hygiene standards.
- Oversee Quality control ensuring good quality products manufactured.
- Handle all reels with care any slight damage to reel can be extremely costly.
- Cut, position, and align reels according to manufacturing instructions.
- Perform visual inspections and run quality tests to include moisture test, measurements and flatness.
- Coordinate with the Team Leaders & planning team to maximise reel changeovers and output.
- Reduce machine downtime by providing feedback to engineering teams to maximise running time and output.
- Weekly routine maintenance cleaning down machine to maintain high BRC standards, working with engineering team to grease and replace any worn parts, keeping work stations tidy & safe, adhering strictly to health & safety regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality.
- A team player with good communication skills & prepared to help others.
- Physically fit and capable of working on your feet for extended periods while handling materials safely, able to cover a large operational footprint.
- KPI focused to deliver required outputs for customers.
- 5 GCSE’s or equivalent.
- Previous hands‑on experience in laminating solid paperboard or a related manufacturing role.
- Experience within the packaging industry
- Machine operating experience, ability to read & follow standard operating procedures and work instructions
- BRC experience or understanding of BRC compliance.
- HACCP experience / understanding
