Description Leiston Primary School Address: Leiston, Suffolk IP16 4JQ Salary: £12,924 - £13,341 per annum, Grade 3 Point 7 – 10 Hours: Part Time, Monday – Friday 7.30 – 9am and 3 – 6pm, term time only Contract: Fixed Term for 12 months, required from September 2025 Reference: 7674 Leiston is a 420 place school with a busy nursery. Currently judged by Ofsted as ‘Good’. We offer our children a wide range of opportunities. We uphold a safeguarding ethos at the very heart of what we do, and it forms our decisions on a day by day basis with the child’s voice being a key part of this. As the Lead Activities Worker (Wrap Around Care), you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our breakfast and after-school provision. You will plan and deliver engaging activities, ensure a warm and inclusive environment, and work closely with school staff and families to provide high-quality care. Key responsibilities: Set up and manage daily wraparound sessions Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities that support children’s development Provide a safe and stimulating environments for all pupils Lead and supervise wraparound care staff Liaise with parents and carers to support children’s needs Ensure policies and procedures (e.g. safeguarding, health and safety) are always followed. You will have: experience of working with children in a primary school or childcare setting motivated, reliable, and nurturing in your approach excellent communication and organisational skills Paediatric First Aid and DSL Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete).
