SEN Teacher - Communication Difficulties (KS2) Location: Maidstone, Kent About the Role Academics are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEN provision in Maidstone, supporting pupils with communication difficulties. This role involves delivering a KS2 curriculum that is carefully adapted to meet the individual needs of learners, helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally. You will work with small class sizes from 5-10 in a group, supported by experienced teaching assistants and a multidisciplinary team, in a nurturing and structured environment. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the KS2 National Curriculum Support pupils with communication needs, including speech, language, and social interaction difficulties Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment Use a range of strategies and interventions to support communication and learning Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and reports Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, families, and external professionals About You We are looking for someone who: Holds QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification) Has experience teaching KS2, ideally within an SEN or specialist setting Has a strong understanding of communication difficulties (e.g. SLCN, ASD) Is patient, creative, and committed to inclusive education Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with colleagues and parents
