ICA Technician - Field-Based (Edinburgh Region) Based in Edinburgh (covering 5 key sites) Company vehicle provided £48,000 overtime standby benefits Permanent | 37 hours/week paid overtime available We're working with a major water and environmental services provider to recruit a permanent ICA Technician to support their operations in the Edinburgh area. This is a varied and hands-on role covering field-based maintenance across multiple sites (primarily five core locations around Edinburgh). You'll work on a range of instrumentation and control equipment, supporting both reactive and planned maintenance activities, with opportunities to contribute to capital upgrade and replacement projects. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of field instrumentation (e.g. sensors, flow meters, level, pressure, and temperature devices) Supporting both reactive and preventative maintenance schedules Assisting with capital replacement and upgrade works Working closely with other engineering and operations staff to ensure reliable site performance Travelling between regional sites using a company-provided van What We're Looking For: Background in Instrumentation, E&I, ICA, or Maintenance Engineering Experience working on sensors, meters or other instrumentation devices (in any sector) A full UK driving licence is essential Knowledge of PLC or SCADA systems is a bonus, but not required This could suit candidates from utilities, manufacturing, industrial, or process backgrounds - what's most important is strong field instrumentation experience and a proactive attitude.
