Utilities Project Officer RP0137 – Starting salary £38,350pa with potential progression to £41,254pa on achieving designated skills and experience. 2 year fixed term contract. 37 hours per week (hybrid).
Role summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Transformation Team in leading improvements to the council's utilities and energy services. This post holder will be responsible for improving processes, managing utilities contracts and supporting the rollout of smart meters across the council's building portfolio. This role combines the responsibilities of managing utilities projects with the analytical skills of a business analyst. This will include working closely with service teams and stakeholders in identifying, analysing, and recommending improvements, as well as supporting the management and delivery of these changes. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented professional who enjoys collaborating with people at all levels in teams across the organisation. They will bring energy and enthusiasm to everything they do. They should be able to work well with a variety of people and have strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with a wide range of audiences.
Responsibilities
* Lead improvements to the council's utilities and energy services.
* Improve processes, manage utilities contracts and support the rollout of smart meters across the council's building portfolio.

Working arrangements
Hybrid role; the role is based in our primary office in Welwyn Garden City with a requirement to work there for at least two days per week.
