* Job Opportunity: Part-Time Receptionist (Office-Based)
Location: Shirley, Croydon
Working Hours: 2 days per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm)
Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time (16 hours per week)
Salary: £11,648 per annum (based on 2 days/week)
Brook Street is partnering with one of the UK's most successful and rapidly expanding travel companies to find a receptionist for their office in Croydon. We are seeking a proactive and personable receptionist to join our team and be a professional and welcoming first point of contact for visitors
Key Responsibilities
o Represent the business with a positive attitude and professional appearance
o Organise and maintain Reception, meeting rooms, kitchen and communal areas
o Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls, logging messages where needed
o Greet and sign in/out visitors and clients
o Maintain front door security and control building access
o Perform administrative tasks including scanning, photocopying, and updating databases
o Receive and sort daily post/deliveries and prepare outgoing mail
o Arrange trades and contractors for building maintenance
o Order supplies for building upkeep when required
o Issue security access cards to staff and visitors
o Book and prepare meeting rooms, including serving refreshments
o Organise transport, taxis or couriers on behalf of staff or clients
o Support other departments with ad hoc tasks
Skills & Experience
o Minimum 12 months' experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role
o Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
o Professional attitude, appearance, and reliable timekeeping
o Strong verbal and written communication skills
o Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
o Comfortable learning new systems and adapting to change
o Calm and capable under pressure
o Able to work independently and collaboratively
o Flexible and available to provide cover for annual leave or sickness at short notice
