Position summary:
As a Senior Process Engineer (Back End), you will be a key member of the Process Engineering Group, focusing on installations, audits, problem-solving, best practice rollout, innovation, cost reductions, and maintenance of decorators within EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) beverage can facilities. You will also train personnel in operation and maintenance to ensure competence within Beverage Cans EMEA.
This position can be based in any European country.
Key responsibilities include:
* Support plants with decorator and printing issues and troubleshooting.
* Assist with technical decorator and printing projects as needed.
* Generate detailed trip reports for management.
* Help plants request capital investments.
* Liaise with equipment suppliers.
* Develop and share SOPs for good process practices.
* Promote valuable skills across plants.
* Follow up on recommended actions.
* Maintain good relationships with plants and suppliers.
* Provide technical training for new and existing staff.
* Be available on short notice for emergencies.
Experience and skills required:
* Electrical or Mechanical qualification.
* At least 10 years of experience with Deco/Printer equipment in manufacturing.
* Training or teaching experience is desirable.
* Basic knowledge of Lean principles is preferable.
* Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
