Senior Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established and respected property consultancy in the recruitment of a Senior Planner to join their growing team in Newcastle.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a dynamic, multi-disciplinary firm with a strong reputation in the planning and development sector. The consultancy delivers expert advice and services across rural, residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects, and is looking to strengthen its planning team with a commercially focused and client-driven professional.
The Role:
As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of planning projects from inception through to determination. You will prepare and submit planning applications, conduct site appraisals, develop planning strategies, and provide expert advice to clients across sectors. The role offers a high degree of autonomy with the support of a collaborative and experienced planning team.
What we're looking for:
A degree (or postgrad) in Town Planning or a related discipline
MRTPI status (or working towards)
Strong understanding of UK planning regulations and local policy in the North East
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in managing client relationships and working in a consultancy environment
A full driving licence (essential for site and client meetings)
