The Role
Working part of the ATC commercial team you will be responsible for the commercial management of the Beacon Rail contract at our Eastleigh maintenance depot, to support and be the point of contact for commercial matters arising from the contract and connected opportunities.
What You’ll Do
* Effectively and proactively manage the commercial arrangements under the Beacon Rail contract provision, including chairing contract review meetings.
* Co-ordinate the development of any new customer requirements and opportunities to support.
* To be the primary point of escalation for any customer concerns and mitigate as necessary with prompt actions, leading the co-ordination with the ATC local operational delivery team.
* Be visible and present at the Eastleigh depot developing close and strong working relationships with the ATC local operational delivery team.
* Develop and maintain a project commercial dashboard with KPI’s reflecting all the core contract deliverables.
* Ensure accurate and full capture of all additional arising work (AAW) activities performed by ATC, presenting these AAW costs to Beacon Rail in a timely and clear manner.
* Provide weekly update reports to the Head of Commercial and the Commercial Manager and undertake other project commercial work as directed by the Head of Commercial.
What You Bring
* Experience – previous experience working in a contract/commercial management role, ideally managing engineering contracts or projects.
* Knowledge – Strong knowledge of Office based I.T systems.
* Qualifications – Recognised technical or managerial qualification at HND level or equivalent
* Skills – Strong communication and negotiation skills, self motivated with the ability to adapt to changing work priorities
* Ability to use initiative to persuade customers and contractors to improve service quality and value for money where appropriate.
