Reception SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Kenilworth, Coventry, CV8 Weekly Rate: £460 - £500 Start Date: ASAP Hours: Full Time - 8:30am to 3:15pm (Term Time Only) Contract: Long Term with potential for PermanentWe are seeking a dedicated Reception SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Kenilworth. This long-term role is to work 1:1 with a child in Reception with identified special educational needs, following their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The successful candidate will provide consistent support in communication, emotional regulation, and learning, ensuring that the child can access the Early Years curriculum and develop independence. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Previous experience working in Early Years (Reception or Nursery) with pupils with SEN needs such as ASD, ADHD, Speech and Language Delay, or SEMH Proven experience working 1:1 and supporting differentiated learning in line with EHCP targets A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree Knowledge of strategies such as visual timetables, Zones of Regulation, and Makaton (desirable) Strong behaviour management skills with a nurturing, patient approach Ability to work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCO, and outside agencies A sound understanding of early intervention and child development within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)About the School: Friendly and welcoming two-form entry school with a strong community ethos Part of a two-school federation committed to inclusive practice Supportive Senior Leadership Team and experienced SENDCO Rated 'Good' by Ofsted with excellent provision for pupils with additional needs Provides ongoing CPD and SEN training opportunities for staffApply Today!
